Heh... so, as part of my obligations to the CUGR grant people, I presented my game to members of the state legislature in a whole This building was totally worth the check you gave the university for it sort of fashion. It was about as much as one would expect - a selection of 60+ people meandering from table to table, doing their best to seem interested. To my surprise though, the three of us there that werent graduate students had set up shop next to the only guy in pretty much all of Maine that both has Video-Game industry experience, and also RUNS a game studio. We got to talking and he saw my whole setup, development sketches included... and hes offered to teach me how to 3d model (something he usually charges for!) I was dumbfounded, but not so much so that I didnt accept right away. Im to meet with him next Thursday and show him my work thus-far. His classes dont start until February, so that part confuses me a little, but my best guess is he wants to gauge what level Im currently at.
