Heidis Legacy Dog Rescue was established in 2002 as an all breed - TopicsExpress

Heidis Legacy Dog Rescue was established in 2002 as an all breed rescue in honor of Heidi, a marvelous German Shepherd that was abandoned by her original owners and left to die. Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. All of Heidis Legacy Dog Rescue funds come from donations by caring people such as yourself. We do not pay any administration or office staff. Heidis is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization staffed entirely by volunteers. 100% of your donation goes to the direct care and support of the animals. CALLING ALL THOSE WITH A BIG HEART AND LOVE FOR ANIMALS Heidis Legacy will be hosting and online auction soon and we needs items to help benefit make this a success. It is through your generosity and continued support that we are able to continue to make a difference. We cannot express how much funds are needed. An estimated 70,000 dogs are born in America every day. Many of these animals end up unwanted and deserted along streets, left behind when owners move, dumped at shelters, and even thrown into the Everglades with the alligators, snakes , and other deadly perils. For all of the dogs taken in by Heidis there are the basic necessities as well as the basic vet care, which we all know is expensive; however, in addition to these basics there is also the sterilization, vaccines, worming, heartworm treatment and preventatives, food, and medicine for skin diseases or other long term continued care to name a few. And as you have seen from our Facebook site, there are those dogs we save who require surgery. Heidis is committed to saving the lives of these precious animals who have no voice. This auction will only be as good as the merchandise in it, donated from caring individuals and businesses such as yourselves. Even if you cannot donate an item you can show your support with a cash donation. Individuals - We are looking for your unburied treasure to help with our upcoming charity auction. This might be fine art, jewelry, memorabilia or pet items. Businesses - We are looking for donations from your business to help with our upcoming charity auction. This is also a great way to promote your business to the general public and notice we have over 10,000 FB likes. Perhaps you can provide a store gift card, pet supplies, free message, well you get the idea. Heidis Legacy Dog Rescue has been a refuge for animals that have been abandoned or placed in high kill shelters. We have wonderful fosters who open up their homes to care for these animals until they can be placed in loving and safe furever homes. All dogs rescued are spayed or neutered and fully vetted before being adopted. Heidis has saved almost 4000 dogs over the last 12 years. As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of animal lovers in the community to help us continue to save and help these precious babies who have no voice and cannot help themselves. People are surrendering their pets more because they just can’t afford to keep them any longer. Theyre also losing their homes and letting their pets run free. These strays often end up diseased, malnourished, and in dire need of medical attention and love. Or they end up dumped at the pound where we all know, if not rescued will eventually face death due to overcrowding. But through your support we can make this auction successful and make a difference! Donations will begin now and run until July 15th. Then on July 25th prepare to bid on items we know everyone will love. Just remember, this is for the dogs. Photos of all items will be posted at the time of bidding. If you would like to donate an item for the auction, contact Lenore by email at darkrain1234@gmail or visit our website/Facebook page at facebook/HeidisLegacyRescueNetwork
