Helllooooo friends :) .. theres one or two things I have to explain after reading comments on my last post bcos this isnt an adoption thing its a veto thing .. :) 1.. I knew I was adopted and lived my own life making my own identity until 3 years ago without it being a problem 2.. found out I was a veto in 1997 but I thought every adoptee had a veto so woteva 3.. got told 3 years ago vetos had been abolished/illegalised in 1989 because its wrong for birth mothers to be able to stop my identity to keep hers a secret .. for reasons we cant seem to find out the handful of us born pre 1989 are still bound by it .. Our state is the only one in Australia that didnt wipe out all vetos .. Ive never even when I was a kid hated my birth mother for giving me up and to this day I never wanted to meet her Ive had a life as an adopted person no biggy .. my anger for her now is because she is the ONLY one who can stop the veto and shes still choosing her secret over mine and my girls whole existence when she knows I have no desire to meet her .. just carry on lady why wd I want to do uproot your whole life .. Im 99% sure finding who I am will be my cure im 1000% sure its nothing to do with wanting my birth mother .. :D xx
