Hello - Dallas - all you saints and sinners - Im praying for yall as Im trusting youre doing for me.......DebiSu and I are chilling out - resting and preparing for our week long class - Preaching Women: Examining the (Her)story and Role of Women Preachers and Enhancing Their Craft with Bishop Yvette Flunder, DMin teaching. We are excited to be here and its incredibly cool. Theres moisture in the atmosphere........ its visible across the horizon - hovering slightly below the mountain tops - extraordinary - ethereal - mystical - and the dampness in the air embraces me........I am happy to be here with DebiSu........I trust God will bless this learning adventure and help us to grow in all ways - especially in our love For God - Her many and varied peoples, each other and the community we find our spiritual home in........speaking of the Cathedral of Hope......... heard amazing stuff was going on there today. Our one reluctance to make this trip was knowing we would be missing this amazing and historical weekend @ COH. I am grateful.......immensely grateful to be a part of a church that recognizes the brokenness of our world and steps up to educate.......speak out.......act up.......speak out.....demonstrate and other things to address the inequities and injustices of our life and times.......kudos to everyone involved - especially the H4PJ Board of Directors - all their many volunteers and a shout out to Jim Mitulski for his support, encouragement, and persistence in making this a historical weekend for our church. Thank you to everyone involved. Well done sisters and brothers you have represented your people and the way Jesus in powerful actions. Your work will have far reaching consequences. Absolutely proud to be in relationship with yall. I can feel a nap coming on........later.........Peace out to the World!
