Hello All! Hoping this finds you all in good health and spirits! And that spring has finally sprung in your neck of the woods! (I know, just in time for summer, right?!) Our local executive board & membership has voted and changed the current procedure for our upcoming elections: To alleviate concerns regarding privacy of the secret ballots, as well as provide our members with the greatest potential for voting opportunities, our 2013 Officers Election will be done as a Mail Ballot Process. Ballots have been mailed out to all members (remember, you must be a full member in order to cast your votes!) following the close of nominations at our June 26, 2013 local membership meeting, held at Council 5 offices in South St. Paul, Minnesota. The ballots are provided with a separate security envelope to insure privacy and secrecy of the ballots. Please place your ballot in the security envelope, DO NOT MARK THE SECURITY ENVELOPE IN ANY WAY, and place in the postage paid return envelope and mail to Council 5. What this means for you: • Mail Ballots MUST be received NO LATER than Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. All ballots MUST be mailed to Council 5. Ballots received any other way will not count, therefore they will need to be mailed to be mailed to the Council 5 Office in South St. Paul. All ballots received after this time will be considered NULL and VOID. • Please be sure to follow the instructions provided with the ballots to ensure that your voice is heard, and that your vote counts!
