Hello All :) I just got off the phone after speaking with my 11year olds Principal. I am a lot miffed. I informed her that on Friday night, when I was snuggling my 11 year old, I was told by him, that some of the stories that he reads in school are dark and inappropriate. I told the Principal that I want to see every packet which my son reads in English/Literature class. My son is to bring them home every day for my review. The Principal told me that she will see what she can do. I said, not good enough. As of tonight, I will be informing my son to bring home everything he reads in class including all questions. I then reminded her of my Federal Parental Right and told her that the same is being done with my 15 year old son in his High School. I told her that I will defend my Federal Parental Right with an attorney if I have to, just like I did with my High schooler. Could you imagine, my 15 year old is being given different literature than the rest of the class? Safe literature that I can see. He is the only one. All of the other Kids get the scheduled Common Core literature. Parents better wake up quickly. I suggest that every parent call the school and demand the same. Demand to see what is being put in front of your child to read on a daily basis. I can guarantee, it is not good. It is our Federal Parental Right and dang it, we are going to use it!
