Hello All. Just to clear up any questions and information regarding Strength Quest. 1-Strength Quest was developed as a measuring instrument of your strength levels so that any Strongman event promoter can use it to select Athletes as a pre-qualifier for their events, secondly and most importantly as a tool for all participants to use to establish your strength levels using the four basic movements in Strongman...get graded and in improve on them. 2-Strength Quest is not a competition it’s a controlled training session with rules and standards consummate with current international standards of Strongman and Powerlifting (Deadlift).Additionally it’s an opportunity for coach’s to be actively involved in coaching on the day of the grading. Ideally Strength Quests should only be attended by Athletes and Coach’s so both get maximum benefit from the grading event. 3-Strength Quest will not get you a direct entry to the Arnolds in any event it will however be part of the process to be selected ,other factors are performances in the last 1-2 years from all strength sports i.e. Strongman, Power lifting ,Olympic Lifting ..All combined efforts from performance as listed will be used for selection for events. 4-All competitors in all divisions will be required to do a strength quest as part of the pre-event requirements. 5-The selection committee for the Arnold Classic Australia Pro Strongman and SHSU Heavyweight Am Cup and Arnold 105 will be. Tony Doherty. Bob Lorimar. Colin Bryce. Bill Lyndon 5(a) The selection committee for the Strong Fit Fitness Men’s and Women’s will be determined once the standards are established. 6-The two Other Divisions will be Under 75 k.g StrongFit Fitness women’s and (Currently negotiating the Under 93 k.g Strong Fit Fitness Men’s Divisions.). 7-All Am events including Heavyweight Men’s Am Cup will be open to all Athletes in the southern Hemisphere. This will extend invites to Australia- New Zealand –South Africa and South America. Selection will still be dependent on Performance i.e. all must reach the minimum standard of Elite One + Performances from other EVENTS/SPORTS. 8-All competitors selected for the Arnold event will be required to be members of the SHSU, you are not required to be a member for a Strength Quest. 9-The S.H.S.U. Site, Aussiepower Site and Strong Fit are being re-developed over the next month and all scores and details will be posted regularly. 10-The SHSU sanctions all Strength Quests and will use its code of conduct to determine requirements and standards that Competitors must follow…any breach in any manner will see your scores and prospects of selection severely diminished. 11-The Arnold Australia reserves all rights to refuse entry to those deemed not suitable to its brand and image. 12-More details to follow on the SHSU Site including how to sanction a strongman event and have results recognized, a Detailed Code of Conduct and our health Policy. Sorry for the delay in getting information across. There are many people involved in the decision making process. Train Well. Bill Lyndon Strong Fit / SHSU.
