Hello All, The Annual Himalayan Olympics are coming up!! This is an event organised by HELP in which around 400 students from all the HELP supported schools in the Helambu valley come together to compete against each other in various sports. It was hosted at Nurbuling school last year and was hugely popular with the kids and the teachers. It is incredibly useful in building confidence and team work skills in the students, as well as training teachers how to more effectively engage children in extra-curricular activities and encourage children to nurture their talents! Jimmy has asked me to publicise it to former volunteers because HELP needs to raise £3000 to host these Olympics. Weve nearly hit the target, but take a look at the justgiving page and give give give.
