Hello All, You may have noticed a 49 cent fee on your debit purchases here at Bar Carlo, and that is what I am hoping we can discuss today. When our credit card processing company approached me about a new machine that would save me 25% on my costs, I said yes, but the company never explained that my savings was now a cost being passed on to my customer. Instead of being forthright with me, they told me it was an across the board change that would be going into effect everywhere before the end of the year and referenced a federal legislation that they have yet to disclose to me. In fact, I had no idea of the 49 cent charge until we ran our first card, and I asked, whats this? Heres where you come in. Because I feel lied to by this company, I am pretty sure I can break the lease if I act quickly enough and without too much monetary loss, but that would mean Bar Carlo would become a cash-only establishment. To make that easier on you, I would seek out an atm machine with the lowest fee to the user. Is this acceptable to you, as a customer? Sincerely, Melinda Archuleta
