We have also decided to be a bridge !! Between students and information, but before being a bridge you must test the depth of water !! So, we conducted a survey today among 1600 students pursuing CA/CS/M.Com/CMA/B.Com etc. over last 1 year : 1. How Many of you read business newspapers like Economic Times, Business Standard etc. ? Yes(3%) No(97%) 2. Do you Think its unimportant ? Yes(1%) No(99%) 3. Why don’t you Read Business Newspaper ? a) Because its unimportant (1%) b) Because I am busy (28%) c) Because I could Not Understand (54%) d) Never Tried (17%) 4. Why you could not understand the newspaper ? a) Tough language (21%) b) Too Much News, didnt know what to read (58%) c) Found it Boring and complex (7%) d) Could not conclude the result of what I read (14%) 5. Do you want to know the important news for the day ? Yes(100%) No(0%) Conclusion : All students want to know the important news for the day but only if - 1. They get it in an easy language with some explanation ! 2. Are advised on what to read, 3. Guided about the conclusion from it, and 4. They don’t have to go through the newspaper.
