Posts are started since very old time as CHITTI, Sandesh and it also served in the BRITISH RAJ. Indian postal service owes its origin to British who introduced mailing services in India. Indian postal celebration is an extension of World Post Day. In Old time there are a value of letters but today as per technology increased it value go down and Post-Masters are only deliver the Mobile Bills, Electric Bills, and other kind unusual details. As of 31 March 2011, the Indian Postal Service had 154,866 post offices, of which 139,040 (89.78 percent) were in rural areas and 15,826 (10.22 percent) in urban areas.
