Hello C4C- First I want to give a shout out THANK YOU to Councilman Dick Haley, for meeting with Ryan Metz and myself this morning. Yes, today was a very informative meeting. What we learned today is: #1- the dirt lot is ZONED for Detached Single Dwelling Homes #2- a developer Larry Canali wants to CHANGE the zoning from that to Commercial. He wants to build a grocery store (yesssss another) and more commercial business/es in that dirt lot area. *** THIS HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED AS OF YET.*** #3- it is believed the church may own the dirt lot, which is another reason why Larry Canali is (what I call romancing) encouraging the members of the little church. There is a meeting TONIGHT that is sponsored by the developer Larry Canalli, with the homeowners that back up right along side that area. The time and place of the meeting TBA. Ryan Metz will be seeking that information out and will post here. (Thank you Ryan!!!) YOU, TOO CAN ATTEND THIS MEETING AND VOICE YOUR CONCERNS TO HIM/Canalli !!!!!!!! SO! What do we do next? As Councilman Haley stated, so far it is just Ryan and myself that is speaking up and showing up. It is going to take MORE THAN 2 people to make a difference in our community. What I/we need is a LIST of WHY there SHOULDNT be those businesses and WHAT OTHER IDEAS of business if it DOES get rezoned and WHY we SHOULD. Remember, the reasoning/rationale has to be MEASUREABLE... not just cuz I dont want it and/or cuz I said so. Corona lacks quality. We have plenty of quantity. I ask you all, to PLEASE speak up!! We DO have the opportunity make things happen!!!!!!! City of Corona, wants businesses and goods that are taxable, which brings in revenue. It is easy to sit behind your computer, ipad, cellphone, but your PHYSICAL PRESENCE, VOICE AND PARTICIPATION is what counts. Please enter your ideas IN THE COMMENTS AREA OF THIS POST.
