Hello! Clayton Weller, the cat wrangler over at The Pocket Theater speaking. Im just reaching out because were trying out something crazy in march, and were looking for people who might want to be involved. Heres the big idea: March is Design Month at the Pocket - Normally shows start with script, then directors, and then the design fits in later in the process to help add to the artistic vision of the production as a whole... we want to highlight design(ers) by flipping that on its head. Were going to take 2 set designers, 2 lighting designers, and 2 sound designers, and let them lose to do whatever they want. All shows that month will fit into these designs! The Set Designers will create concept sketches/diagrams by mid Jan, then hand those off to Lights/Sound who will create a rep-plot, and sound-scape. Then well give this information to the producers who will create shows to utilize the set. Its going to be CRAZY!
