Hello Community! YOUR HELP IS NEEDED AND THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW: Please take a moment to read this post as it may be the answer for something you have long awaited. I have created a page called Purple Lemon Tree in order to facilitate an outlet for communication between people interested in gathering and scavenging activities. I hope to host many invasive species removal, as well as mass seed bombing, apiculture and harvesting events, but for that I really need is your help and advice. Although it is hard to make the time to do things outside of work and preparing for work these days, what is important to recognize is the enslavement of corporations, and fight against in through easy steps like increasing self-sufficiency and social support for our extended community. You can help in ways that might seem insignificant but in the long run will have a huge impact on your perspective and culture passed on to the future generation! Our planet is facing a difficult time where the threat of extinction is great for many species including wild plants and insects, such as bees. I hope find support and assistance in collecting wild seeds from indigenous species that we may plant in order to protect our forests. I am designing a program to try reintroducing food to our forests, and get rid of invasive species like ivy and holly. I hope to establish wild bee population, so we may grow wild rice and potato in our forests but first we need to establish flower gardens in the forest for these bees to thrive on! I need all the help I can get, so please let me know of any constructive criticism and valuable resources. As well, please share this with your friends so we may all become closely knit in this huge movement towards a holistic life free of corporate control. THIS IS WHAT MAKES THE FIRST STEP TO MY PLAN: • Educate yourself in what are indigenous plants to the BC coast. • Notice these indigenous plants in your everyday surroundings, let it be while walking the dog, getting out of your car at work, driving by a park, or while hiking • Look for seeds after the flowers are dry, and collect these seeds – they don’t need to be separated – wash out a used ziplock bag that you were going to throw away and start piling them all in there! Hold this bag on your person at all times as you never know where you will find a precious seed. • Inform your friends of this mass collection and encourage them to collect seeds as well – what a great thing to spend an afternoon doing together! It is truly rewarding to harvest next year’s generation of natural treasures. The seeds will be used to make seed bombs – you can google this – which will be widespread over various terrains in the spring to come. Thank you for your consideration, and please feel free to use the Purple Lemon Tree page as a starting place to build a group in your near vicinity with whom to make a difference, while taking the time to connect to our ancestral roots.
