Hello DFW Theater Community, I want to encourage you to complete the attached Nominations ballot for the 2014 BroadwayWorld/Dallas Awards! The deadline is TOMORROW, Fri. Oct. 31 so please take a few minutes to fill this out!!! Please note the categories follow the same ones used by the DFW Critics Forum, WITH the addition of the following categories I requested our New York managers include to capture the TOTALITY of the Dallas/Fort Worth theater community: 1. Best Short Play (because we have a LOT of new play festivals) 2. Best Supporting Actor 3. Best Support Actress 4. Best Youth Performance (under 18, because we have to keep the future babies excited about our profession) SPECIAL NOTE: For the Theater Achievement Award, really think about the exciting renaissance and energy were experiencing in the D/FW theater community and the players that are working to make that happen when you make your nomination. Dont think popularity contest but a nominee or organization leaving a thumbprint that will continue to push our community forward. We have a fully functioning arts district now, a bounty of new play festivals that have been noted by the media, and individuals working behind the scene in a philanthropic manner to keep us as strong as possible in the face of limited funding sources. These recipients of these awards will receive national exposure so lets get those votes IN!!!!
