Hello Dilliwallahs If youre free this evening, do try to attend the launch of Around the World in 125 Years, a stunning collection of archival images from National Geographic magazine published by Taschen Books in three beautifully produced volumes. The highlight of the launch is photojournalist Reza Deghati, who will show some of his iconic pictures and talk about what it means to be a National Geographic photographer, spending time in war zones and travelling around the world. I heard him speak at the Mumbai launch yesterday, and I promise youre going to be charmed. The stories behind his photos are dramatic and moving, and yet the most poignant of them was an account of a great photo he missed. Go, be inspired.
