Hello EC !! ;) I trust that 2015 has started off well for all and hope that the year has many good things ahead for the World as it is. I shared a personal write up on my timeline this morning and have decided to share it here on my PSAS247 pages as well, so please do take a minute and see my inner thoughts and motivation for having these Appreciation Squad pages. Motor Vehicle Accidents happen - Reasons: Fate_Negligence_Drinking&&Driving_DrugUsing&Driving_Texting&Driving_Speed_2nd&3rdParty_RoadConditions_Fatique_PadestrianNegligence_WeatherConditions_UnRoadWorthiness_etc Air-Craft fall from the Sky_taking many Lives_For many reasons, mostly un-known initially Murders & Rapes take place daily_World wide for senseless reasons Wars are breaking out for any given reasons, diminishing Humanity Communities live in fear_for daily crimes & stresses Modern Technology has taken over our communication skills_putting family quality times , expressions & values in cyber form These are merely a few things that stand out for me today in Society & today’s times. No matter how much Awareness, Precautions, reactions or reminiscing of how it used to be, we do… The Human Race has become so self centered in my opinion & we have lost focus on what life is supposed to be all about, in the short space of time we have been given to make a difference. When our lives end one day, in our physical form as, living, breathing, thinking, human beings, for what ever reason, what people thought of us or what we achieved materially, really won’t matter anymore. If we are praised for our successes, how much money we made or criticized for our wrongs or failed attempts, we will not know about it as our ability to feel, hear, see, think, analyze, react, etc won’t be anymore! The day we die, is the day our time as we know it is over – PERIOD! Our Souls will live on by the grace of our Maker & what will be will be. Whatever religion or belief we have, is not what I am referring to here but rather the time on Earth as Human Physical beings, with the ability to make a difference & be or do, something meaningful during our existence. As I am a Christian, I look forward to being at the feet of Jesus in Gods promised land, in my spiritual form! But whilst still here on Earth in living, human form, …. Why, oh why are we not making the most of Life while we still have the time too?! We have been given a short space of time to enjoy Life on earth yet we waste it & abuse it not thinking or considering the actual consequences of what is yet to come, or not! Losing the lives of so many people in my personal Life, especially lately, & observing the carnage & tragedies daily has brought me to this write-up, realizing that this is one of my many reasons for wanting to ‘Be The Change We Wish To See In The World’ I have vowed to always do whatever I can do, to aid those who need help in whatever way or form, no matter what circumstances I am in, or criticism / judgement I face. I have been privileged enough to have lived a full life & had most of the luxuries many have never had. Even though now I live a Humble, simple Life with all the daily pressures, stresses, financial constraints & basic survival needs, & can only offer my time, emotional support, advice or care & love, my heart remains pure & of Humble intent, - I cannot & will not witness Homelessness, Hunger, Poverty, Senseless Crime, Addictions of all kinds, suffering alone (illness or Old Age, etc) & not at least try to make a difference. Even though we go through our own storms in Life, I find that not just trying to remain positive, inspirational & motivating… but actually doing & being that, gives me the strength I need to endure & hopefully be the example I try to be. If I fail for whatever reason to set these examples, or reach my dreams & achieve my set goals, I have tried & made the most of my time & life! This is also why I have chosen the slogan I use so often… WHY do I do what I do… ‘Because That Is How I Roll’
