Hello Everyone - Here is an update in what is happening with our church in Cape Breton. It is also an invitation to invest in new communities. I am aiming at finding 100 people to get behind this. Long message I know but please read it and do it if you can, as I am asking all my friends to do something. I am also asking that if you are interested that you respond today. I had the privilege of speaking at the Lighthouse 2.0 service this Sunday (A new location we just started). I shared that last week I had the opportunity to be at, or meet with the leaders, of five different ministries here in Cape Breton that did not exist just a few years ago. God is certainly up to something in Cape Breton. I have felt compelled to send this message for some time to those I know in Cape Breton, as well as, a few friends of the Island. Many years ago we had a vision of something we felt God was calling us to do here. Shirley and I felt God was calling us here to start a church planting ministry, one that would plant, but also help those who were starting churches here in Cape Breton. We have seen amazing things happen and several works have begun and we been trying to invest in others who are planting. However, this is not the end and I still feel we are just getting going. You may have heard we have begun something new and I want to share what it is that we are now doing. Simply, we are looking to reach into new communities. For the near future we are focusing on Sydney and New Waterford. There is a home group now meeting in New Waterford, and at some point in 2015 we will start a once a month worship service there. In Sydney, we have already begun a worship service called Lighthouse 2.0. At some point we will come up with a real name but we have been very pleased with the gatherings so far. I have been asked by many people, ‘What are you doing?‘, ‘Why are you doing this?’, and, “Do these communities even need new churches?‘ In response, I would like to tell you why we...
