Hello Everyone! Below is an email we received about SUBMISSIONS FOR AN ART EXHIBITION which will coincide with the Titanic Belfast Inspire Conference. This is a great opportunity to make some meaningful work and be part of an exhibition with a powerful message - ‘Women who changed their world’!!! Happy Holidays! :) Hi, Last March Titanic Belfast hosted its first International Women’s Day Conference entitled ‘Inspire’. Coinciding with the conference was an exhibition in our Andrews Gallery of art work from local artists (professional and amateur) schools and community groups. Building on the success of last year we are once more putting out an invitation for submission of artworks for our Inspire exhibition 2015. The UN theme for International Women’s Day 2015 is ‘Equality for Women is Progress for all’, and the Titanic Belfast Inspire Conference will be focussing on the impact young women can have on positive change and progress for all when they are given their voice and take up the role of leaders in their communities. Inspire exhibition’s theme is ‘Women who changed their world.’ We’re seeking artistic representations of these women to display in the Andrews Gallery in Titanic Belfast. As the exhibition will be hung alongside an exhibition of black and white photography all submissions should be monochromatic in any genre that is hangable (including black and white photography). If someone in your group would like to be involved please email me by Friday 9th of January at the latest for further details and application form.
