Hello Everyone! For some time, Ive been thinking about saying something to address the common misconception about mindfulness meditation practice that it is sitting - and sitting for an extended period of time. Well, sitting and sitting for 15 minutes at a time or more, may be an excellent way to begin developing your practice. I happen to thinks so (See: Mindfulness & Meditation. But once you get it going with it, there are many alternatives to bring your practice into your everyday life, such as when addressing your stuttering problem. This clip made by someone who has been one of my teachers, Sakyong Mipham, whose practical wisdom is embedded in my book, Mindfulness & Stuttering. Using Eastern Strategies to Speak with Greater Ease relates in a general way with some examples how mindfulness can be incorporated in daily life. In fact, that is the purpose of practicing mindfulness meditation.
