Hello Everyone: I have a sort of mixed bag of photos plus a nice looking photo postcard for you today: 1. Here is a photo postcard showing the newly completed Los Angeles City Hall. In the background can be seen some interesting buildings and signs. Not too sure of the year since there is no copyright date on the back, nor has it been mailed. 2. About to enter San Pedro Street and head for Watts is Hollywood car no. 5118. Smog was a problem way back in about 1950 when this was taken. 3. Resting between trips in express box motor interurban car No. 1434 with wooden car No. 1401 sitting behind it at the car house and yard at Macy St. back in 1948. 4. Local P.C.C. streetcar No. 3124 is seen at 85th Street and Central Avenue on the S Line. Note the photographer snapping a picture of the car and the kids looking out of the back window. I wonder if the kids knew that come the next day they would never be able to ride a streetcar in Los Angeles or the S Line for that matter ever again. The date in March 30, 1963 the final day of operation or as Ira Swett once called it, Die day in L.A. Enjoy.
