Hello Everyone, I have done my Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (in India). After my bachelors degree, Ive been working in IT industry for more than 10 years. I recently completed my M.S in Software Systems (in India). I need your help & suggestions on the following: 1. Am I eligible to pursue PhD in Computer Science & Engineering stream as per AICTE & UGC norms (because my Bachelors degree is in Mechanical Engineering) ? 2. I am planning to switch to teaching profession after my PhD. If I pursue PhD in Computer Science & Engineering stream, will the Indian universities/colleges accept me as a Computer Science & Engineering faculty (because my Bachelors degree is in Mechanical Engineering) ? 3. If the answer is NO to one of the above two questions, then I am planning pursue PhD in Mechanical Engineering stream itself. Please suggest if this decision is right. It would be great if I could get accurate information on the above queries.
