Hello Everyone, The staff of Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for Van Gogh. He has been a tough little guy during this horrible experience and he is getting stronger every day. Currently, Van Gogh is still undergoing therapeutic laser treatments to help his ears heal and he is recovering nicely. Each day, he acts more and more like a puppy and our staff enjoys seeing him come out of his shell and behave like a normal, silly young puppy. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has inquired about adopting Van Gogh. Unfortunately, he is not medically ready to be released to a permanent home quite yet. Also, because he is part of a criminal investigation with the Delaware County Police and Animal Control Officers, he will be needed for future court proceedings. Once he is released from our hospital, he will be in a foster home with one of our doctors pending the outcome of his investigation. You can be sure that our doctors and staff will spoil him rotten as well as take care of proper training and socialization that will be necessary to make him the perfect pet. Animal abuse, sadly, is widespread in the Philadelphia area. So many cats and dogs, especially pitbulls, need our help. We are hoping that Van Gogh will inspire each of you to consider helping another animal in need. Our local shelters and rescues are desperate for safe and healthy homes. We work closely with the following rescues that are looking for fosters and adopters: Animal Coalition of Delaware County acdc.ws/ ACCT Philly acctphilly.org/ Justice Rescue justice-rescue/ Please visit these organizations and lend your help. If you are interested in providing a military pet foster home, please contact PACT and help pets in a different, but much needed way. PACT pactforanimals.org./ If you are willing to donate money to our cause to help with the expenses of Van Gogh and other animals we rescue please go to The Veterinary Care Foundation (VCF) which is a 501(c) (3) charitable foundat ion that helps veterinary practices fund their discounted and no - charge cases. Just go to vetcarefoundation . At the top of the page click Donate. On the donation page, open the drop down box for state and choose Pennnsylvania. Once again thank you for all the wonderful emails you’ve sent and your willingness to adopt Van Gogh.
