Hello Everyone! This post is from the Whitehairs. We want to thank you all for your outpouring support everyone has given Jason and his family they are forever grateful! All the texts, phone calls, visits, etc. are what is getting them through this extremely difficult time. Please keep them coming!! It is with beyond words and excitement to be able to announce to all; Jason has finished his last bag for his 1st round of chemo. Today starts the 1st day of his recovery. So far his body is reacting to the chemo as expected and his team of Doctors are pleased with his results. As of this morning; Jason still has a good appetite and remains in good spirits. In addition, his hemoglobin is high enough he will not have to receive blood today! However, his white blood cell counts are very low. As of this morning they were reported 1.1; the average persons white blood cell counts range are 4.5 - 10.5. Even though the counts are extremely low and alarming; his body is reacting as expected and holding strong. For those that arent aware your white blood cells are what fight off infections. With that said; his team of Doctors, nurses and at the request of Jason and his family, his visitors are strictly limited. If you are planning a visit; please touch base with myself or Kevin Beavers before you go. Thank you again for all your support, prayers and words of encouragement in Jasons Fight!
