Hello Everyone, To address the current storm, it will CONTINUE - TopicsExpress

Hello Everyone, To address the current storm, it will CONTINUE TO RAIN until about 1 a.m. when well notice a slight drop in temperature (mid 30s -> low 30s) just enough to create SOME snow. The winds will pick up and the pressure will drop slightly. We can expect only a dusting (approximately 0.10 inches of snow). Spanning from 1 a.m. until 6 a.m. Surface temperatures will remain at or above 32 so no chance of anything freezing over. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the majority of the storm will hit as rain (as you may see outside your windows now) as a result of the, believe it or not, warmer (yes warm-er) coastal winds from the evaporation of warmer ocean temperatures (compared to the air temperatures of south-eastern New York which is getting snow as we speak (see images). If you refer to the attached radar, we see a rather unique patchwork of storms followed by another mid-sized system over the west coast that will hit us again as RAIN this coming Monday until Tuesday. NO SIGN of any major snow for this coming week as well. It is worth noting that tomorrow will be the first very cold (as I would deem it) day of the school year with highs in the early 40s during the mid afternoon. TOMORROW MORNING you will wake to SUB-FREEZING temperatures (low 30s) that will FEEL LIKE MID 20S because of the 7-8 mph breeze from the North West. So.. wear a jacket and maybe gloves/hat? No pie-chart necessary...yet. - Owen
