Hello Everyone, sorry I have not updated in a while. Carter is going good finally getting over his cold, its been a slow ordeal. Carter was supposed to have surgery on both eyes September 19th but I have cancelled it, after talking to a special Nicu friend. ( Palmetto Richland has the best Nicu nurses ever, after being home for 6 months they have got above and beyond to help me with his eye situation) So we have another appointment in Charleston in October for a third opinion. Carter has a couple of issues with his eyes. The surgery was to fix the crossing he has. The other issues I will tell yall about when I have a proper diagnosis. Carter also has to have another surgery in October hopefully I can get that one scheduled sooner now. He is still on a apnea monitor and was doing fine but in the pass month at night he goes crazy with his heart rate dropping to low and sometimes he stops breathing. ( but the breathing maybe because he has been sick with that nasty cold?? ) With all that being said is doing good. Lol. He is going good with His PT and can sit briefly by himself we are working on sitting rolling and crawling position. He has a great physical therapist and early interventionist . His occupational therapist starts this coming Friday. He is still the sweetest and most loving baby ever!! We finally made it back to visit the Nicu last week that was very hard for me!! I crying all the way there and had awful anxiety I was sweating bullets. But Carter loved it, I swear he remembered them!! I was a very sweet visit I can never repay them for all they did in caring for my sweet boy. I think that is all? Sorry its so long. Please continue to prayer for my Carter tarter tater to in the next few months. He is awesome and has over come so much all I can said is Thank Lord for what He has done for my sweet boy.
