Hello FB family. It seems we are doing this all too much lately, but I am very sad to announce the passing of one of the Centers oldest and most dedicated family members. Dr. Chad Murdock passed away in his sleep last night. Dr. Murdocks commitment began to the Center decades ago when he began volunteering his time to offer one on one reading to our children. He probably read with many of you. Dr. Murdock also supported the Center in many ways which many of you probably did not know. He was always very modest about his monetary and in kind contributions. It is timely that it is during the holiday season that I am announcing this news, since Dr. Murdock was responsible for gathering and providing holiday gifts to entire families for decades. He will be remembered by many of our children for always saving the funny pages from the newspaper for them to take home to enjoy. We will miss you Dr. Murdock and are so grateful for all youve done for our community. If anyone would like to send a card, flowers, etc., to his wife and children, you can drop it to the Center and we will ensure it is received.
