Hello FB friends... Hope your day was wonderful! The storm of yesterday is gone, and today was a little windy but sunny... Went to the Gumbo Cook off (I thought it was a chili cook off! duh!)... tasted so many variations that I couldnt tell which I liked best... but honestly... I think the best one was the one my dear Gib used to make... lots of shrimp, sausage and just the right roux flavoring... tons of goodies- all kinds of meats & seafoods & delicious... sort of spoils you for that special taste.... It was fun tho... met new people.. Later we went to the Gulf Breeze Art Show.. lots of beautiful things... jewelry everywhere... great designs, and art work too... some fantastic artwork!!! I didnt buy anything altho my friend kept offering to buy me stuff... My sister MaryLu makes the most gorgeous jewelry and it just seemed to me that I should just wait til I go to Texas for the family reunion and buy some pieces from her!! Later we went to Hemingways at the beach and had a shrimp cocktail (altho it was not what Im used to at all???) and a cold Corona with lime... I must admit I am getting a tad addicted to having a beer once in awhile... hehe... Did a little packing tonite... going home tomorrow after church & breakfast with new friends... Will be in Gulf Shores Alabama for few days... getting things ready for my g-friend to come visit ... I missed the birthday for my sweet friend Karen, and I felt so bad as I know that Diane made sure to prepare a great birthday for Karen just as she did for my birthday! I hope to make it up to both of them soon as they return from their cruise... Leaving in the morning and I know both will have so much fun... !!! I plan to return to Gulf Breeze Florida on Wednesday... going to Ft walton beach to get my permits for the guns.. and do a little shopping... It seems like everyday has something for me to do... and the good stuff gets a little fuzzy when Im packing and unpacking almost non-stop!!! Anyway... my teeth are almost done... at least the right side!!!! next Monday 7th I have one more extracted... but in a few wks I begin the other side with the implants!!!! yuk!! I miss my kids & g-kids... alot! Have not written one word this week... so much for being a writer!! I do get alot of attention over here in florida tho... books are selling and business cards are going out.. I really do hope I can soon spend quality time writing again! Determined to finish the three Im working on... Oh.. made a long time friend angry at me.. hurtful and sad.. but sometimes we cant please everyone.. I am in a good place right now in my life; and feel sad that Ive caused pain in someone elses life... Hes been my best friend for 8 years... I thought... anyway.. another friend whom I expected to be upset turned out to be very happy and loving with me..!!! Just shows that sometimes we expect too much from some...and not enough from others? God is so good tho...isnt He? Spoke to my youngest son today... he sounded so good..he touched my soul... My daughter is a blessing and I miss her so much... wish my older son was nearer so I could hug him too... Our kids grow up and soon life seems to just shoo-shoo.... I am so thankful and blessed... Hope you all are doing well.. having a safe and wonderful weekend... and most of all...hope you remember to love yourself!
