Hello Facebook Friends!! Here’s your Willy update: He wore - TopicsExpress

Hello Facebook Friends!! Here’s your Willy update: He wore himself out in his pool yesterday. He was still splashing around at midnight. Of course, he slept really well because he pushed himself to the point of exhaustion. He had to be pulled out of his bed this morning to get his day started. And what do you think the first thing that he wants to do is??? He immediately jumped back into the pool before he even had breakfast. After his fun in the sun and water this morning, he decided that he would get his job done today. It’s about time don’t you think??? He finally went North West in an air conditioned car and filled it full of good food and fresh produce. The Tampa Trail Stop now has bananas again along with jalapenos, yummy looking strawberries, head, leaf and bag lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, apples, mandarin oranges, celery and many more delicious kinds of produce. So make sure that you get in before it all disappears out the door. As usual, it was selling faster than the volunteers could get it priced and put on the shelves. He brought in several more treats such as cookies, brownies, cupcakes, crackers, oatmeal crème pies, corndogs, some different kinds of bread, bagels, English muffins, donuts, ice cream cones for that delicious Highland Ice Cream. Also, kids, he thought that you might like the tape bubble gum which is one of his favorites. Willy sure was glad to see the weather cool off this evening when the threat of storms moved into the area. Though, he was glad that it decided to move on by so the farmers could still work at getting their crops harvested. It seems to be a good year for wheat, the wheat fields look abundant. I feel a rush of excitement in the air with all of the combines in the fields and the grain trucks barreling up and down the roads to the elevators and back to the fields for more grain. But what do I know, I have never farmed a day in my life unless you want to count home vegetable and fruit gardens and flower gardens. I know, Tampa should plan an end of harvest celebration in the new Park. BBQ and all the fixings, horseshoe and basketball games and kids playing on the playground equipment. And, of course, quench everyone’s thirst with all of the Pepsi products that are now available all around Tampa. Thank you for supporting the Tampa Trail Stop, your community owned, nonprofit, volunteer staffed grocery store.
