Hello Facebook Friends!!! Today was Willy’s first day, since he got his new name, running for produce and other fresh foods for the Tampa Trail Stop. And of all things he had a real dilemma to work out. He was pacing the floor this morning saying “What ta do, What ta do, What ta do???????? He needed to be in two entirely different locations on the same day and logistically it would not work. Willy generally goes Southwest every Tuesday and Northwest every other Wednesday but both locations needed his attention today. So What ta do? He finally decided that he needed to be cloned for a day so he could go both places. The Tampa Trail Stop needed all of the merchandise today for the store. He looked in the yellow pages and found a doctor that could clone him for one day only. That was the only solution to the dilemma. So today there were 2 Tampa Trail Stop Gophers named Willy. One went Southwest and the other went Northwest and now the Tampa Trail Stop is filled to the brim with fresh food and produce. Willy even brought in some new items. Some of the new items that Willy brought for your culinary enjoyment are Nectarines, plums, peaches, Cilantro, Zucchini, Red, Yellow and Orange Peppers, along with the regulars, Green peppers, Bananas, Strawberries, Grape tomatoes and small vine ripened tomatoes, Cabbage, Bagged Lettuce, Gala Apples, Garlic, Sweet Potatoes, Baby Carrots, Broccoli, and Avocados. He also brought Capri Sun pouches and popsicles in a tube. We also got an ice cream delivery, beer delivery and chip delivery today. It has really been a busy day. All of the volunteers have been working hard to get everything priced and on the shelves and in the coolers and freezers. The produce section already needs to be a little bigger, there were not enough crates for all of the different items but we made it work. If you have not been into the Tampa Trail Stop recently, you need to come see the almost completed produce section and the new Pepsi Cooler in the store and the new Pepsi vending machine outside. Both Pepsi machines are currently empty but should be filled with product by Friday. Also, remember to check out the 50% off produce. If you like ripe bananas or need bananas to make banana nut bread or any other banana treat be sure to grab up those 50% off bananas before they are gone. I just checked in on Willy and he is fast asleep. I guess being cloned and traveling twice as much has worn him out. Let’s all say Good Night Willy!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for supporting the Tampa Trail Stop, your community owned, nonprofit, volunteer staffed grocery store. Without the community loyalty and the volunteers giving generously of their time we would not have the convenience of being able to buy groceries in our great little town and save all of that money that we used to have to spend on gas.
