Hello Facebook family and friends! It has been a while since I last posted about the Community Pantry. We have been having challenges and struggles to keep up with the demand on those in need in the city and valley. We continue to enroll 140 families per month and it has been like this all year. As we (I) continue to try and keep my faith and remember that God is in control. Everyday is an emotional struggle for me worrying about where will the food come from, when will money arrive to buy food, help those in need with services and pay bills which are associated with running an organization like this. I sometimes want to give up and just say the heck with is. Pantries in our city, county and state and throughout our country are closing and also facing struggles and challenges. But I need to be reminded of what a great organization this organization is and has been since 1965. My schedule and things I need to do on a daily basis (personally, my business and this organization) is too overwhelming for me. But that is just it, it is too overwhelming for me. This is what I need to remember for me and all of you it is too hard. But this pantry, this organization, the food, the money and volunteers all belong to God. He is in control and I need to remember this. So the struggles, the emotional roller coaster are my doing and I must always remember God is in control. We are in great need of food, money and prayers. We are not going anywhere as this some people in this city would love to see this happen. I feel I have let down this organization as I struggled with these challenges. I have great support from this community and the best volunteers who take charge and do what needs to be done. We are small but mighty. We are struggling but blessed. So I need to get back to what I need to do and lead this organization forward but not with my wisdom and strength, but with Gods wisdom and strength. He has entrusted me to be a keeper of His people which is the poor and the homeless. I have turned my cheek to the harassment of the poor and the homeless. I am not doing what God has called me to do and that is serve Him by serving His people. Do what is right and fight for the rights of those in need. So tonight I recommit myself, my heart and my hands to do Gods work, by serving Him and His people to stand up against all obstacles and to those who harass the poor and the homeless. To protect those who reach out to those who also help the hurting. Father God as ask for your mercy, your forgiveness for I have ignored the things which are wrong and happening in this city and valley. I will need blessing, your mercy, your wisdom, your POWER and your discernment of knowing what to do, when to do it and to understand why I am doing it. Please find favor on this organization, find favor on me and my leadership skills, and find favor on those who are in need and struggle everyday. Thank you Father for allowing me to do your work and to be a servant to you which is a privilege and honor. In your mighty name, AMEN!
