Hello, Facebook friends!! I wanted to let you know that, this next week, I will be launching a Kickstarter campaign called “BIODIVERSITY AROUND THE WORLD: A PHOTOGRAPHIC SLICE OF LIFE”. For the next thirteen months, as the Vanderbilt University Michael B. Keegan Traveling Fellow, I will be traversing some of the richest and most endangered landscapes in the world: our earth’s biodiversity hotspots. I will be volunteering with NGOs working for the conservation of their regional flora and fauna, all the while photographing wildlife and their habitats and blogging my reflections. My itinerary includes creating promotional videos for birding reserves across the South American continent, and creating a short documentary about the ties between biological and cultural diversity in Bolivia… monitoring and performing habitat restoration for reintroduced kaka and kakariki in New Zealand, and field assisting with snow leopards in Nepal… Contributing to community outreach efforts with lemurs in Madagascar and creating signage for an endangered primate rehabilitation center in Ghana… However, I am under-budget to make this ambitious itinerary a reality. I can’t wait to launch my Kickstarter campaign, and hope you will consider becoming a backer of my project! I’m lining up some great photographic rewards for my backers! Happy Sunday, all!
