Kind wishes Vajracaksu The Five Spiritual Faculties in Meditation and Every Life Talk & Meditation Evening (English) Evening chaired by Dharmachari Vajracaksu Dharmachari Sudaka will give a talk exploring a basic teaching from the early Buddhist tradition on the five spiritual faculties or “indriyas” as applied to our meditation practice and our day to day lives. These qualities form a balanced approach which in turn helps us to live a more balanced life, spiritual or otherwise. He will explore Mindfulness, Energy, Meditation, Confidence and Wisdom in the course of the presentation, giving an overview on this system of Buddhist practice. The evening will include meditation, a short tea break and questions and answers. Cost: Free Location: The Ortaköy Meditation Studio Date: Tuesday 2nd December 2014 Time: 19.15 – 22.15 Maximum: 20 people About Dh. Sudaka: He began practising yoga in 1986 and meditation in 1990. He was ordained into the international Triratna Buddhist Order in 2001 and was given his name ‘Sudaka’ which can be translated as ‘happy sky dancer’ or ‘blissful sky walker.’ Sudaka is English but lives in Valencia, Spain. He dedicates his time helping run the Valencia Buddhist Centre; running yoga classes, meditation workshops and practicing Shiatsu and Thai Massage. In 2010, along with a friend, he set up a new yoga teacher training course called ‘Bodhiyoga International’ firmly based in meditation and Buddhist principles. Sudaka has been regularly visiting Turkey since 2003 where he has offered yoga classes; meditation workhops and Thai massage training.
