Hello Facebook peeps!! I have a HUGE favor to ask. I used to live at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, my Dad was stationed there from 68 until he retired in 1971. Myself and a friend, Ann Spring, who lived across the courtyard from me, would love to go back to see our old Quarters. I was told by the Security people at NNSY that we would need to either be sponsored for a day visit by someone that currently lives on base, or we would need to find someone with a military ID to actually take us onto the base. Ann is coming into town next week, and we were hoping that someone might know someone who could help us out. We could go on August the 18th, 19th or 20th, morning, afternoon or early evening. It wouldnt be a long visit, we just wanted to see our old homes and drive by Admirals Row. The Mullens were in Quarters D, Ann was right across from us. If you or anyone you know can help us out, theres a nice bottle of wine in it for you, or a 12 pack, whatever floats your boat. Message me if you can help. Thanks
