Hello Faith family – I’m excited that we are able to have the Lord’s Supper together tomorrow morning at Faith. So often, we go through the routine of celebrating this meal together without earnestly considering the weight of the Supper. Tomorrow, we’ll spend time considering what the word says about the Lord’s Supper. Afterward, we will celebrate the Eucharist in a God-honoring way. I hope you will plan to join us for a great service! Let me encourage you in a new way. You may have noticed that we are beginning our service at 10:30. After hearing much feedback from the church, I believe that having the extra 15 minutes will help us in various ways. Some are: Having an extra 15 minutes to prepare spiritually to meet with God and His people. As it was, many of our Sunday school attendees and leaders were rushed from one meeting to the other, giving little time to mentally and spiritually prepare for the service. Having an extra 15 minutes to use the restroom and grab a snack or beverage. Having an extra 15 minutes to meet and greet both members and guests. You would be surprised at how much you can get to know someone in 15 minutes! I highly encourage you tomorrow to strike up a conversation with someone new between Sunday school and the service. Giving our community a more friendly time to begin the service. Guests may be more likely to attend a 10:30 service than a 10:15 service. The verdict is still out on that! I hope you’ll take advantage of the extra time we have before the service. Perhaps you could read the bulletin and notice announcements or go ahead and find the Scripture passage we’ll be discussing. Perhaps you could open the Bible and read passages on your own to prepare your heart. I encourage you to make great usage of this extra time. You’ll be glad you did! See you tomorrow!
