Hello Fellow Members I need a bit of advise on getting out a lodger from my flat. Hope this discussion will add value to other members as well. I dont know I have made a mistake or will it work in my favour, but we only have a verbal agreement. We have communicated via text, whatsapp and in person. I, my wife and our 8 months old boy live in this flat. 6th of this month he moved in that flat. The building is owned by Council and the flat I have privately rented. It is illegal to smoke in the communal area of the building and we had informed him not to smoke in the house as my wife has a severe allergy to smoke. Couple of days back he brought over his girlfriend and as they saw us going out, they smoked in the bathroom. When we returned my wife went to use the bathroom and got sick and puked out all the dinner. I knocked his door and asked him to clear the buds from the bathroom, which he did. After that he started causing problems, he is using derogatory sentences and also racist comments. He commented about me working in mini cab business. Hes saying you dont know english and I dont live free to ask your permission for someone to stay over. In his room he is shouting you asians dont know the law. I will report you to authorities, I need a proper agreement asap. All this he does via whatsapp and text messages. What is the right way of removing him from the flat please as I dont want a racist person in my home.
