Hello Fellow Rockers, Im looking to re-form my band The Angry RomAntiX (possibly with a name change) as soon as possible . . . Cut to the chase : Im a singer/songwriter, and I play a little bass, and a bit of guitar. Ive currently got about 9 original songs in development and a large volume of original poetry/ lyrics waiting to become songs / spoken word. Feedback about my lyrics is that they are very powerful. I also like to play some covers ( but with a twist!) but the emphasis is definitely on originals. My original style leans towards Punk Rock / Proto Punk , Alternative, Rock and some Blues, and ironic ballads - but no lables please. Sense of HUMOR , open-mindedness, creative experimentation, thinking OUTSIDE OF THE BOX , & a professional attitude about rehearsing is key (& yeah - its nice to have fun). I am initially looking for a guitarist ( possibly 2), drummer/ percussion , & synth /keyboard player ( if s/he can double on bass, thats a plus:) and another vocalist to sing backups & maybe some leads ( if guitarist or synth player or even the drummer can sing, that would be FAB).... Im also open to the idea of other instruments as well. Id like to play with musicians who are more skilled than I am. Ive got raw talent, but only started playing bass last February. My vocal skills are stronger than my playing skills ( just to be upfront). My work has been compared to Patti Smith & Alanis Morrisette ( Im deeply honored by the comparisons). My influences/fave bands are : David Bowie, The Pretenders, Beast Of Beast, Love and Rockets, Led Zeppelin, many 60s,70s ,80s & 90s bands, and more. Ive got a very broad taste in music. I dig Iggy and the Stooges & have written a parody on a Joan Jett song. I can send youtube links on request. My real day job is as a professional choreographer/coach/teacher, & had a long career as a professional dancer, so I am an experienced and a natural performer and feel very at home on stage. Id like to eventually incorporate a theatrical , performance oriented, and conceptual aspect to the band (ie. think about Bowie & the Glitter Glam era).
