Hello Fit4You Members, I would like to thank all of you for - TopicsExpress

Hello Fit4You Members, I would like to thank all of you for making my first week at Fit4You a great one! I know that Gail left some big shoes to fill but you all have made me feel welcome and part of the family. The identity of our Club is one of the most attractive characteristics that played a huge part in my decision in starting this new chapter in my professional career. The ‘personal touch’ environment that Fit4You holds toward its members, guests and staff is a key element that I emphatically intend to maintain and grow as the new owner. Nearly 22 years ago my love for health and fitness began when my parents bought me my first weight bench for our basement. I spent many hours reading fitness magazines, working out and designing my own workouts through trial and error. When I was old enough to drive myself to work I took on a part-time position while in high school at the local fitness center in the town where I lived. Once out of school I explored opportunities with some of the bigger health club chains in Cincinnati as a way to broaden my knowledge of the industry. This was a great learning experience for me. I am fortunate for the opportunities I had in learning the day-to-day operations of a fitness center. In 2002 my family and I moved to Atlanta to take part in the exploding Mixed Martial Arts scene. I then spent seven years working in a MMA and alternative fitness environment at which point I was introduced to a variety of training techniques for all fitness levels. In 2009 I came back to Cincinnati to again be with family where I was fortunate enough to join an MMA and alternative fitness setting much like the one I had grown accustomed to in Atlanta. For two years I worked with a great group of people here locally but ultimately decided to explore outside of the fitness industry and pursue other interests. Though this proved to again be a great learning experience for me I knew deep down that my heart is in the fitness industry. I spent most of this year investigating ways to get myself back to what I love. This is how I ended up here. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. I know that Gail’s intentions were never to turn over what she has worked so hard to build for the last five years but being as it may I am very privileged to have the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experience into building our established Club alongside a fantastic group of members and staff. With my first week behind me I am very much looking forward to the weeks ahead. Running a business is not always the easiest thing to do but I know with the team I have by my side and great members enrolled at our Club, success is inevitable. With your help we can grow Fit4You to a level that will keep our Club servicing Loveland and surrounding areas for many years to come. Again, I appreciate the warm welcome from both staff and members this past week. I look forward to working with each of you moving forward. Sincerely, Dave Mullikin
