Hello Friends :) Am answering a few questions I have received from the same two people who ask the same questions, over and over again. All of the information is available on our Fundraising link ( gofundme/9z3tgc) but one must SCROLL DOWN to read it all. This will answer many questions! Here are a few Ill answer here now: Questions: 1) Where is this wonderful preserve at? 2) What will happen if theres a drought and the land doesnt provide enough feed to keep the horses healthy? As this is one of the main reasons why theyre rounded up in the first place. 3) Why are you asking for the funds to be put into your name? Answers to the above: 1) We have been offered land but require the Non-Profit status to accept land for 300 Wild Horses and Burros, in California. Your Donations today, means we can Apply for our Non-Profit Status, accept land and create the Wind Dancer Wild Horse and Burro Preserve, a place where Wild Horses and Burros can live safely and happily with their families. Please carefully reading our information. Once we have our 501c3 we will acquire the land for the Preserve, in CA. 2)) its rare to get a donation by check. When someone donates by a check, they send it to Susan Leffingwell @ Wind Dancer but most donations are through gofundme a funding site that is transparent. 3) im grateful i have a very good business plan. The wild horses and burros in our Preserve will be very well cared for. More information: 1) Our first fundraiser was on a Crowdfunding site and sadly, we didnt meet the goal so we did not receive any money. We have a lawyer helping us form a 501c3. 2) Our second fundraiser which was more successful, we paid the lawyers fee for incorporation. 3) the third fundraiser (today) is paying for legal fees to form the 501c3 for the preserve. Its been a slow process!. 4) I also have a full time job 5) We are fundraising with gofundme because it is transparent. 5) Int total, We have raised 2500 minus indiegogo fees plus 1000, minus the go fund me fees. 6) I have pictures of our cause front and center, many photos I have taken myself or are photos by photographers that have given me permission to post. I also show them to promote the work of fine Equine photographers. One Rescue started bashing our Fundraiser then attacking my hairstyle and the color of my hair in an immature way. I think they fear the competition in CA but once this Fundraiser is over, Our Donors will not be their donors so they have nothing to fear. Its too bad they dont know me, I have been working day and night to save and help Wild Horses and Burros, for seven years. I have also helped many other Rescues! This is my answer to them: Instead of spending money getting my hair done, i am using some of my own money starting the Preserve. Im not rich, i am a teacher. i feel you are being very mean (and strangely petty) to someone who cares deeply about wild horses and burros. Thank You everyone for your friendship, I feel your support every day and the Horses and Burros will be the recipient of your Love as well as your donations. Happy New Year beautiful people!!
