Hello Friends, Arguably the best player in the NFL (Adrian - TopicsExpress

Hello Friends, Arguably the best player in the NFL (Adrian Peterson) was just removed from his team (fired) by the NFL, without pay (multi-millions), for spanking his male child (age 4). This is SCARY!!!! I need help understanding how this action taken by the NFL, is legal?!? AP had a legally binding contract with the Vikings, and he broke NO part of his contract. His case has been settled with the judge (misdemeanor). His record will be clear after his community service. The NFLPA (Players Association) supports and always has supported AP, against the NFL.... But, the NFL, essentially nullfied his contract today, and without any legal grounds to do so. WTF??!! HOW is that even Legal??? And more alarming to me, is this question: Does this mean, there is now a legal precedent in place, establishing that NO PERSON (i.e. YOU & ME) in the USA is ALLOWED to spank (with anything other than an open hand) their/our child anymore -- without LEGALLY fearing being fired, from their job for it? EXAMPLES OF MY CONCERNS FOR CLARITY SAKE: A) If YOU have EVER spanked your child with a #chancleta, could you be fired? B) If YOU have EVER spanked your child with a belt, can you be fired??? Or fired at all? How and why is this legal, for a company to legally be able to nullify other legally binding contracts, and take away a mans salary, for a case a judge officially dismissed? I certainly get that the Vikings, can fire AP. Its their team. Nobody should be legally made to employ anyone. But the NFL, should not be able to touch this (i.e. they shouldnt have jurisdiction given case was dismissed) and this saving face issue is embarrassing. I say that only because of the other events that have taken place in the NFL earlier this same year. As a result, the only message I got from Roger Goodells actions here today is: 1) A guy like Richie Incognito, who calls me the #N word is welcome to play football in the NFL by Roger Goodell; and 2) so can Ray Rice (who knocked his wife the F out)... but 3) try to be, what you were taught is a good Father and spank your kid (regardless if the judge doesnt put you in jail for it) and the NFL will crucify you, to make a point? What is that point exactly, Mr. Goodell? #YouMissedMeWithIt What do you guys think?
