I am at 90% of my goal please help me and I want to send more kids to camp to have some fun. 100% of the money raised go to the Kids Camp. I am riding in the Ride for Karen - 100km Route, in support of three children’s cancer camps (Camp Quality, Camp Trillium & Camp Oochigeas) which have been selected to receive the proceeds of the 2013 Ride for Karen. This is my 10th year riding in this event and I am looking to raise $2500. 00 to help send more kids to camp than ever. Also I am a Cancer survivor as well I beat Prostate Cancer. With multiple locations staffed by health care professionals, volunteers and camp alumni, the camps provide tremendous emotional support coupled with various degrees of essential medical attention. The single greatest miracle these retreats provide is enabling children to escape the shadows of cancer treatment and feel the thrill of being just another kid. Started in 2002, the RIDE FOR KAREN is a yearly cycling event that is held as a tribute to the life and legacy of Karen Tobias and to raise money for charities that help people living with cancer, and those who care for them. In the last eleven years the Ride for Karen has raised over $1,840,000, which was used to help build and furnish new cancer care facilities, provide much needed resources for cancer support centres and send kids with cancer to camp.
