Hello Guest & friends of Steeples………..I can only imagine that we all had a fabulous summer and wow, it’s still continuing………..amazing…….below is a letter from Darren Cole, STILL Owner of Steeples Restaurant This is a very important email……….as Steeples has really been making some great changes in the past few months and a few more start next week. As I’m sure you have heard that I am in the process of selling the restaurant. When I say in the process, haha I mean in the process. The deal was done last Oct and was meant to complete early spring. The deal is still not completed and therefore I am still hard at work creating new and innovative features and events. I’m actually having fun. I’m here everyday we are open. Wed-Sun……e on down and say hi, in case you thought I was gone, I’m still here and will be for a few months more and even after the deal completes. The truth of the matter is that since the down turn of the economy, the huge changes to the liquor laws this business changed over night. We were a destination spot for many in the outer areas of Cowichan, and victoria and now people are staying closer to home when dining out. In this transition we have done some aggressive changes in our format. You will see we are working hard at maintaining a very casual image similar to a Cactus club, eals or Browns Social house. We have added items like naan bread pizza, sandwiches and even all day bacon and eggs. This is all in an effort to become more of a locals place where they can pop in for something casual or even still some fantastic entrees like our God steak and of course sockeye salmon and very tasty unique appetizers. The $9.99 3 course lunch is still going strong as well as our 2 course sandwiches at lunch. We encourage you to come down and try some of our new daily specials listed below in this email and have a peak at our new menu. Myself, my plan is very exciting and I’m sticking to my belief that everything happens for a reason and for the better. I’m going back to a former career as a motivational speaker. I recently performed 2 very important workshops/ presentations. One called “Drop the Ego not the Gloves”(Teen Violence and Bullying) Performed at Shawnigan Lake School. The latest was “I Dream Awake” ( Power of Intention & Law of Attraction). I am planning a new workshop this fall called “Be Your Own Hero”. I have a couple friends getting on stage to help me cover some big topic like, Bullying, Power of intention and my friend celebrity boxer Donny Lalonde are excited to send these messages to kids and families all over. Maybe the most exciting part of all this is that I will be on a reality TV show on Chek 6 TV on Sept 27th at 6:30. The show is called “The Hard Way”. It’s focus is about struggling businesses in this economy. When they heard about my dreams they decided to follow me in my career transition and we had been filming for 5 months earlier in the year. Very exiting launch and I hope we can share this experience. Set your PVR.
