Hello I have a question and I would like to remain anonymous. I am a former volunteer EMT and wilderness firefighter from Northern California. I am interested in re obtaining my EMT and working an ambulance and eventually become a paramedic as I have tried my hand at nursing and have found it too slow paced for my liking. The thing is I am 28 and only recently obtained my drivers license so I have a minimal driving record. I have not yet obtained an ambulance drivers license either. Will this hamper my attempts to work an ambulance? Or will obtaining my ambulance drivers license compensate for the insurance issues that would arise from employing a fairly new driver? I live in Los Angeles now and have decided that if the issue is too great then Pasadena volunteer EMS reserve is the route I need to go. Any info you could provide would be much appreciated. Again anonymous please!!!
