Hello. Im a Christian Im part of Oneness Pentecostal Church. I would like to share what we believe. Oneness View 2Peter (1:20-21) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2Timothy (3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: NATURE OF GOD John: (4:24) GOD IS A ____. ( spirit) 1Timothy: (1:17) Now unto the King eternal, imortal, ____ the only wise God. (invisible) 1Timothy: (6:15-16) Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto: whom no man hath ___,nor can ___.God is an eternal, immortal, invisible spirit that dwells in light. (seen) (see) WHAT IS JESUS CHRIST? He is the visible body that one supreme, invisible spirit prepared for himself to dwell in and he lived among us. Hebrew: (10:5) Wherefore when he cometh in to the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a ___ hast thou prepared me. (body) Ephesians: (4:4) There is ___ body, and ___ spirit. (one) (one) There is one eternal spirit known to us as the Father that dwell in a body known to us as Jesus Christ. JESUS WAS THE VISIBLE IMAGE OF GOD Colossians: (1:15) Whos is the image of the ___ God the first born of every creature. (invisible) John: (1:18) No man hath ___ God at anytime: the only begotten son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (seen) 1Timothy: (6:16) When no man hath seen nor can see The Father is an invisible spirit that does not have a body which makes himself visible in the body of Jesus Christ John: (14:8-9) Philip saith unto him Lord show as the Father and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him. Have I been so long time with you and yet hast thou not known me, Phili? He that hath seen me hath ___ the___; and how sayest thou, show us the Father? (seen) (father) John: (14:7) If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; and from how on you know him and have ___ him. (seen) The only way we will ever see the Father to look into the face of Jesus Christ. John: (10:30) I and my Father are one The spirit and the body are one! Isaiah: (9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty God the everlasting ___. The Prince of Prince. (father) The son was the everlasting Father manifest in the flesh, (Emanuel, God with us.) 1Timothy: (3:16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; ____ was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ( God) The Almighty God was incarnate (made himself a body)...(nagkatawang-tao)in tagalog... Thats why Jesus Christ could declare himself to be the Almighty God. 2Corinthians: (5:19) To with, that God was ___ Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. (in) Colossians: (2:9) For in him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the God head ___. (bodily) 47 mins · Like THE DUAL NATURE * Jesus Christ had two natures; He was fully God and fully man. * The spirit in Him was divinity and the flesh was humanity. * The bible refers to Jesus as being the Son of God and the Son of Man * The son of God refers to his deity, while the son of man refers to His humanity.... (deity means..divine character or nature, esp. that of the Supreme Being; divinity. 3. the estate or rank of a god:) * This terminology would indicate a second person of deity in the God head. * The Humanity * He was a full man * Had all the same emotions, temptations, hungers, and feeling as us. * The deity * As God, He existed from eternity, was the Almighty and raised His own body from the dead. * Understanding the different natures of Christ helps us to understand the different rules that He played. * He was God and man at the same time. THE CONTRAST * As a men, He slept in the bottom of the boat, as God he calmed the storm. * As man, He was hungry and thirsty. As God, He feed the multitude, cast out devils, healed the sick and spoke great words. John: (14:10-11) Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I spent not of mysefl; but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works, believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works sake. * The miracles He performed and the words He spoke were not of the humanity, but of the Spirit. * Thats why Jesus could forgive sins ( Mathew 2:5-10) * Jesus also spoke as deity to the thief on the cross and said, Today, shalt thou be with me in paradise. Deity forgive sin, not humanity. * In the final hours of the life of Jesus, He prayed in the garden, Not my will, but thine be done. * The flesh prayed to the Spirit. * Humanity prayed to deity not one person in the God head praying to another, nor one God praying to another * When Jesus died on the cross, the humanity cried out in pain and gave up the ghost (spirit). * God did not die on the cross. * God is an eternal Spirit that cannot die, the humanity died. * Neither did the second person in the God head die, that would be part of God dying. 1Timothy: (2:5) * For there is one ___ and one ___ between God and Men, the man Christ Jesus. (god) ( mediator) Conclusion: Jesus was fully God and fully man. THREE MANIFESTATTIONS * God the Father is an omnipresent spirit that has manifest himself to us our heavenly Father. * He has also manifest himself to us in a bodily form as the son, Jesus Christ. * He also manifest himself to us by allowing us to feel . His presence and by filling us with his spirit, that is known as the Holy Ghost. * Three manifestations, but the Spirit. * The Holy Ghost is not a separate Spirit from the Father. 1Corinthians: (12:13) For by ___ ___ are we baptized into one body. (one spirit) Ephesians: (4:4) says there is only one spirit ( Father) that manifest himself as the son and as the Holy Ghost. HOW MANY THRONES IN HEAVEN? * God is a Spirit , no man hath seen him at anytime nor can see him. * The Father does not have a body. * Since the Father does not have a body, He wont need a throne. WHO WILL JESUS SIT NEXT TO? Mark: (16:19) * So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right head of God. * The Jews traditionally have understood that the right hand of God speaks metaphorically of a place of power. Mark: (14:62) * And Jesus said, I am; and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of ___ , and coming in the clouds of heaven. (power) Colossians: (2:10) * And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and ___. (power) WHERE WILL JESUS SIT? *Since Jesus has the only body, He will need a throne. Revelation: (4:2) * And immediately I was in the spirit I and, behold, ___ throne was set in heaven, and ___ sat on the throne. ( a ) ( one) WHO WILL SIT ON THAT THRONE? Revelation: (4:8) * And they rest not day and night, saying Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was and is and is to come. Revelation: (1:8) * I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending saith the Lord, which is, and which was and which is to come, the Almighty. DO ANGELS BEHOLD THE FACE OF GOD? Matthew: (18:10) * Take head that ye despise not one of these little ones; for 1 say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. * God is a spirit, Jesus said, spirit dont have flesh and blood ( Luke 24:39 ) * The Greek word for behold here can be literal or figurative, Jesus was speaking figuratively. WILL THE HOLY GHOST SIT ON THE OTHER SIDE? * Since the Holy Ghost is Gods Spirit and Spirit do not have bodies. * The Holy Ghost wont need a throne either. * There is only one God and only one throne in heaven. * Jesus Christ will be the only image of God we will ever see. Revelation: (22: 3-4) * But the throne of God and of the lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him * And they shall see His face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. What about the Lamb taking the book out of the night hand of throne on the throne in Revelation 5: 1-7? * Most of the book of Revelation is symbolic * This is not literal scene, because Revelation 22:3 said the lamp was in the throne. * The Lamb cannot be in the throne and standing before the throne. * The right hand is symbolic of power referring to deity. * The lamb is symbolic of the man Christ Jesus, referring to humanity. The dual nature of Jesus Christ. * The son of God refers to his deity, while the son of man refers to His humanity.... The word Christ is referring to the humanity of Jesus Christ (/kraɪst/) (ancient Greek: Χριστός, Christós, meaning anointed) is a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Māšîaḥ), the Messiah, and is used as a title for Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus have two nature when He was on earth . He is 100% God and 100% human. *Son is referring to His humanity . The only Begotten SON of the Father. *Father is referring to his Deity and also His title as the creator of things, etc *Holy Spirit is referring to His spirit that right now INDWELLING inside His real believer. As human, he get hungry, sleepy, hurt, pray, died and humble himself and became the ultimate sacrifice for our sin,etc.. As God , He feed the 5000 people, He calm the wind,He heals the sick, He can do anything. ---Numbers 23:19 God is not a man..because ---John 4:24 GOD IS A ____. ( spirit) John 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, SHEW US the Father, and it sufficeth us.9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not KNOWN ME, Philip? he that hath SEEN ME hath SEEN the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?10 Believest thou not that I am IN THE Father, and the Father IN ME? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that DWELLETH IN ME , he doeth the works.11 Believe me that I am IN THE Father, and the Father IN ME: or else believe me for the VERY WORKS SAKE. (Man cannot do miracles but only the Spirit.) Jesus Christ as a BEGOTTEN Son became the ultimate sacrifice for our sin .He became our Redeemer. ---Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. ---Isaiah 43:15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. ---Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. ---(Jesus talking)Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. ---Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. ---Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. ---(talking about Jesus Christ) Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Jesus Christ is a son of man because Mary is human.Jesus is God because Mary were conceived by the Holy Spirit and that is why we call her virgin Mary. --- Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ became the ultimate sacrifice for our sin instead of bulls and goat and became the MEDIATOR of Men to God (Jewish Tradition) ---Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. ---(talking about Jesus)Hebrew 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:---Hebrew 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. ---Hebrew 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. 45 mins · Like Jesus and the Holy Spirit ---John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) ---John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.20 At that day ye shall know that I AM IN THE FATHER , and YE IN ME ,and I IN YOU. ---Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the PROMISE of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. ---John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF GOD ; and that BELIEVING YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE THROUGH HIS NAME. ---John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. ---Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. ---Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ---Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ---Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ---(Pauls writing to the believers in Rome)Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. ---1 John 1:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. ---Isaiah 12:1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. (Jesus means Jehovah salvation or Jehovah who saves)..simple term. ----(Pauls writing to the Corinth) 1 Corinthian 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. Jesus is God in the flesh ---1 timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory., ---John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. As man, He humbled himself unto the death and so that we can used Him as an example or model to follow. He did not declare publicly that He is God himself but He only give people clue of who He is for us to realize that He came in the flesh as a son and so that we can be save through Him.. All of us are sinner because of our natural nature because of the disobedience of the Adam and Eve but because of His loved for us to inherit His kingdom, God took His robe off as god and dwell in that baby Jesus and so that someone could be the WAY to inherit the kingdom of God.. So if you really think about it, It is Jehovah who himself made a way for us to be save if we believe and obey Him through Christ. ---Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:6 WHO, BEING FORM OF GOD, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Jesus is the Father in Creation, Son in Redemption and Holy Spirit in Regeneration. This is what we believe.
