Hello, Im happy to announce that the family of this beautiful boy have located their pet and he is being picked up from the pound tomorrow. Horray! Secondly, Id like to clarify some of the assumptions people have made regarding the rescue of this boy. Firstly, I rescued the dog on Saturday evening when it travelled from my street in Ambarvale across busy roads to Campbelltown private hospital where he was scaring a young family (not intentionally of course). I rescued him, fed him and housed him overnight and he was taken to Bradbury vet first thing Sunday morning. Now the ad on gumtree was placed by my mother with very good intentions, we would have never released this boy to anyone and any inquiries were going to be directed to the pound. The purpose of the ad was to raise awareness for him in case his owners looked on gumtree (which have lots of found dog ads btw). I got some condescending messages from a member of this group and later found that posts written here about my conduct are presumptuous and inaccurate. My mother made the ad with good intentions and Im sure a lot of ppl do the same without having being so misinterpreted. Im positive the vast majority of you guys are beautiful, lovely people, but for the person concerned pls dont be so presumptuous and condescending when personal messaging someone. It would be better for you to talk to someone with some approachability because I can tell you that if I were not someone already familiar with the process of rescuing animals, I would be discouraged from associating with you and in turn this fantastic lost and found service.
