Hello. Ive just created an open group on facebook called School Days in Columbia, Mississippi. Ill start by saying this. I am surprised by the growing rate of new members in this very nice & very entertaining group, Memories of Columbia, Mississippi. I can only imagine that some of you, who have been enjoying this group for longer than the rest of us, may have been taken by surprise @ the recent expansion of membership. I acknowledge any chagrin you might have & do apologize for cramping your style : ) Please DO NOT become a shrinking violet & let the awkwardness of a larger crowd deter you from continuing to share your memories - we LOVE reading about them!!! Speaking for myself, it has been enlightening & has given me a renewed appreciation for the RICH social history of Columbia. Anyhow/moving on.. In an attempt to keep the focus & topics of posts concentrated, I created School Days in Columbia, Mississippi so that conversations & topics here do not become too scattered & redundant. Anyone & all of you are invited to join this new group (& I hope you do!). This is not an attempt to steal anyones thunder; I promise.
