Hello Ladies Hope you are all well. Just a quick message in response to a few concerns and queries that you may have. The event is ladies ONLY and no photography of the event will be allowed to ensure the comfort and privacy of all those attending. No one is required to wear a belly dancing outfit or show their belly unless ofcourse they wish to. You will merely need any old scarf to wrap around your waist and a pair of comfortable pumps and any outfit that you feel comfortable with. For any ladies who wear a hijab or any other religious dress, if you want to, you may take it off when you come inside as it will be women only. You can ofcourse leave it on also if you prefer- whatever you feel comfortable doing. Finally, the belly dancing is just a bit of fun. You do not need to be good at it. There will be no competition between anyone. Everyone will be in the same boat as you. As i said it it is a womens only event and no one will be taking any pictures or judging how you dance so just be yourself and have fun :-D The main aim is raising awareness of domestic violence and raising as much money as possible. It is a significant issue that has affected too many women in our society but unfortunately has been brushed under the carpet for too long.
