Hello. My Springer is just 1 now, and I need ideas to keep her busy during the day. She is in the kitchen at night and when Im out, but alone with me (and my 2yr old) during the day. Shes in the living room with us, but she contanstly is walking around, looking for things, scratting under the sofa, shell never lie down and settle. Shes quite boisterous, she does listen to me, but jumps up on sofa a lot, (shes not allowed unless we invite her up), and she is very excitable when she sees birds or people walking past the window. She loves treats, and has these, but obviously I cant keep giving her treats throughout the day. She doesnt really bother with bones too much. She likes playing with plastic bottles, soft toys (but rips them to pieces), balls she loves (but rips those too), rubber bones she ignores. She gets a walk in the morning after school run (I try and put her in the car for school run if were not running too late), but its at the walking pace of my 2yr old, so as of next week (when weve moved), my OH will be taking her onto the park for a off lead run. So hoping that helps? Shes quite lean, not a big kibble eater, but does love raw. Shes on CSJ Thatll do. Shes a lot calmer after playing with a lab whose just a few months older than her that stays with us odd weekends, so I think she needs more fun and charging around. I actually think another dog would be the answer as I think she just wants to play! But yes, does anyone have any tips to settle her down, and occupy her during the day.
