Hello Neighbors! I’m excited to tell you about the upcoming launch of River Queen Voyages in the spring of 2015. Ending in the beautiful new downtown Riverfront Park, we will offer canoe and kayak rentals on the Cumberland River starting from Shelby Park and Lock Two Park (in Hip Donelson!). We will collect you from the end point and then shuttle up with the boats to the put-in ramps so youll end up right where you started. From Lock Two Park, you can float under Briley Pkwy and see Opryland (and maybe the General Jackson) from the river, check out the gorgeous houses in the Montague and Brush Hill neighborhoods, pass under the Shelby Park pedestrian bridge and train tracks, and coast into downtown from a whole new point of view. Relaxation, wide open spaces, and connection to nature are so important in our rapid pace and hyper-connected world so its my hope to see everyone out on the river this year :) Thanks for reading and stay warm out there!
