As in Kellys directory of that year they are different from the numbering our family knew. Our house in later years was 105 Wellington Road but in 1914 it could have been 22 Walcot St. In Kellys it is showing house numbers near us as 80+ , when we knew them to be 99, 100, 101, 102, 103 etc Can anyone enlighten me please. I think a lot of that area was bombed.John Mills ... Jenny Venables ...Does anyone have any photos of HENBURY Comprehensive also known as Henbury County Secondary School. I was amazed to hear that it had been pulled down and replaced by a new school some time ago. When I went there in the lat 50s it was brand new and huge! Michael Hansford ..Having watched Time Team over many series, I was amazed at how artifacts and buildings become buried under soil and eventually become lost to memory only to be rediscovered by future generations, so I thought I might share a little bit of local history that appears to be lost to many, yet it is still there, albeit, buried out of sight, not by soil but by tarmac!! I wonder if anyone can remember seeing the names of Italian POWs etched into the paving slabs that formed the path along AIRPORT ROAD I remember seeing them in the 60s onwards and I suppose they were covered with tarmac sometime in the 70s when Airport Road was to form part of the Ring Road
